Although not strictly speaking a branch event, the organisers for the event have all been members of the Dunfermline Branch and Abbeyview Scottish Country Dance Club.

The picnic dance takes place in the Glen Pavilion in heart of Dunfermline’s Pittencrieff Park in June and raises money for a different charity each year. Once the first half of the dance is over, dancers break out the picnic basket and head outside to enjoy the sunshine (hopefully). Midge repellent is optional. If the weather is inclement, the staff of the Glen Pavilion kindly allow us to picnic indoors.

Once the picnic is over, we head back indoors to dance off the calories that have just been consumed.
